Celebrate National Cancer Survivors’ Day with Emanuel Cancer Center
Turlock, CA— Come join Emanuel Cancer Center and celebrate National Cancer Survivors’ Day with a free ice cream sundae on May 28 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
“National Cancer Survivors’ Day is a growing event as more people than ever are surviving the disease as a result of advances in prevention, early detection and treatment,” said Michael Iltis, executive director of Emanuel Cancer Center. “There are nearly 14 million Americans living with a history of cancer, and we want to celebrate that.”
The event, which is open to any cancer survivor, advocate or caregiver, served nearly 500 sundaes last year.
“Basically, if cancer has touched your life, we hope you’ll come celebrate survivorship with us,” Iltis said. “There will be Dixieland jazz, free gifts, and the ice cream will be served by the outstanding physicians who work here at Emanuel Cancer Center.”
There’s no need to RSVP for the event, and sugar-free ice cream will be available.
Emanuel Cancer Center is located at 880 E. Tuolumne Road.
