Plant roots in our thriving community
Blessed with long summers and fertile soil, Turlock has long been a great place for growing things.
Located in the heart of Central California, the city is still surrounded by productive farmland. Almond orchards bloom in the spring, corn grows tall in the summer, and harvest festivals take place every fall.
But Turlock is an even better place for growing families. We have great neighborhoods, tree-lined streets, strong community organizations and excellent schools. Turlock is home to California State University, Stanislaus, one of the jewels in the CSU system.
As the second-largest city in Stanislaus County, Turlock boasts easy access to major retail centers and numerous recreational opportunities. It's an easy drive to the historic Mother Lode Gold Rush country, the Sierra Nevada mountains or Yosemite National Park in the east or Pacific Ocean beaches in the west. The San Francisco Bay Area and California's capital of Sacramento are closer still.
Turlock is a community of amazing diversity that offers much to see, do and experience. It is a vibrant community in a magnificent region and Emanuel Medical Center is proud of our Turlock roots.
